Yikes! I was hoping things would get better after dinner. Although they haven't yet, they definitely will. One step at a time...
That does not sound fun. I'm sorry your dog keeps barking. Maybe a bone would quiet her. (((HUGS)))
Dogs can take Benadryl -- you'll have to search the internet for dosage in relation to size, however. It's not a crime, especially if she's making you nuts... just a thought ;)

Love all the suggestions, but my favorite, by far, is the benadryl! I had no idea! Will research that one tonight.
She finally settled in at midnight.
Josh was up from 3:30-4:00. Brooklyn was then up from 3:45-4:15.
But all are now peacefully sleeping. Too bad it's time to wake everyone up!
We used to put peanut butter and a treat stuffed into a toy called a kong ( sort of a cone shaped toy with a hole in the bottom)and it would take Maddie hours to get the treat out and lick the kong clean of peanut butter itgave us many hours of rest from a VERY active dog....N
I give my (practically) empty peanut butter jars for friends who have a hyper dog. The dog loves it, my friends keep him occupied when necessary, and I don't have to clean the jars for recycling. Everyone is happy.
She let you fall in love with her just in time... she'll get better.

Sorry B, that sounds like a real sucky time. If it makes you feel any better, I hurt myself with the weed whacker the other day. I also spent a lot of time pulling up weeds and now they've grown back, but I'm scared to weed whack them because I think my weed whacker is out to get me. Also, I tried spraying all my weeds with vinegar. They sort of got brown for a while, but then they grew back. Now my driveway sort of smells like vinegar. I don't know how this will make you feel better, but when things are cruddy for me I kind of like hearing about cruddy things for other people (even if they are only mildly cruddy).
I don't know about the benedryl trick for dogs but I sure am familiar with it for kids!
Oops...now you know my dirty little secret.
