Any kind of expectation creates a problem. We should accept, but not expect. Whatever comes, accept it. Whatever goes, accept it. The immediate benefit is that your mind is always peaceful.

That is one of the best quotes I have heard.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Well it's not like I live by this quote at all, but it's worth a shot, right?

Hmm ... easier said than done, but, as you say, it's worth a shot.

Patriot's Day off? One of the few good things about MA :)

Stringman,
I've got the whole week off due to April vacation :O)

I love the quote. Definitely words to live by. I've found that in the few areas of my life where I have been able to do this, I feel much more at peace.

But as others have said - easier said than done. There are very few areas of my life in which I've accomplished this.

Whole week off? ::stamps his feet, falls, to the floor, kicking and screaming in a jealous rage::

Have a nice week!

April vacation? Is that like spring break? Man, I should've been a teacher!

I like the quote too.

I never expect anything and coincidentally I'm always often surprised.

Like the other day after I was doing the gardening and my muscles hurt afterwards, I never expected to wake up the next day but I did.

I wasn't pleasently surprised because I was stiff. Oh and my muscles were as well and they hurt. ;-) But I was alive.
