It does indeed stink.

I was running an infirmary for 2 solid weeks. The fevers simply would not go away, and the coughs were awful.

Don't be in a rush to get them back to school. Just let them be miserable (and you can be miserable too -- it's allowed).

Both Jack and I had it a few weeks ago too...I feel for you!!!

If their doc did not already prescribe Tamiflu for you and T, call and get a prescription. Jack's doctor did NOT do that, and I came down with it 4 days later. But then my doc put Eric on Tamiflu as a preventive measure, and he did not get it.

BIG hugs!!!

Good advice.

I will call my doctor today Kelly. How long did the flu last for your house?

Alicia, I understand letting them take their time to get better, but I hate missing sooooo much work!

B, we caught Jack's early...he complained of a sore throat on a Wed. night and then spiked a 104 fever on Thurs. morning, so I took him to the dr. right away. That was right before MLK weekend...he was doing somewhat better by Sat., but then didn't have to go back to school until Tuesday. I did notice that he needed more sleep than usual for a good week or so.

And then I got it on MLK day...I missed the WHOLE week of work. Three days out, I felt a bit better, so I started to do some things around the house...big mistake. The next morning, it felt like a truck had rolled over me. And even into the next week, I felt really tired.

Sorry to share that with you...there have been so many people out with the flu here that at least folks seem to be pretty understanding about it.
