Bad mommy

Josh had a fever for 4 days
so we kept him home
yesterday he seemed fine
except for a rash
so I sent him to school
and went to work
then I got a call
that Josh was not well
I took him to the doctor's
and sure enough
he has Scarlet Fever
and a double ear infection
needless to say
we are home again today
and Josh's whole class
has been exposed
I suck

Oh, no!

I don't know whom of you I feel worse for.

Hugs to both you and Josh.

You do not suck... scarlet fever sucks. You kept him home for four days, which is more than most people would do. I hope he feels better soon!!

My youngest had Scarlet Fever(the weekend before Christmas) and it took me two/three days to take her to the Dr. You are a wonderful, caring parent. It's tough to know with something like that. I hope he takes his medicine better than mine did and feels better fast!

I did the EXACT same thing last year with L. I sent her to preschool with Scarlet Fever. I received the MOM OF THE YEAR award for that one.

If you're going down take as many with you as you can.

I think it's a good thing for kids to be in contact with all these bad things because it makes them stronger. Of course, without wanting to put too fine a point on it, our healthcare system is a whole lot better than America's so I can sort of understand you all being so careful.

Hope Josh feels a lot better now (I'm sure he does with all those cookies in him not to mention the kiss from bro).

Getting around to delurking because I've been really bad lately.
