Please help my sister
She is struggling to come up with a name for her future daughter. She has asked me to post here for your suggestions. She's thinking of Leah, but is truly stuck.
What's your favorite girl's name?
btw, I was thinking that I really like the name Genevieve.

Tess, Tessa, Sophie,& Ella are my current favorites!
I know someone who just named her daughter, Eloise and they are calling her LuLu!
Give us a hint...a starting letter perhaps?
Danielle is a favorite
Sophia and Ella are both on the list. A woman I work with has a daughter Louisa and they call her Lulu.
The only thing that I know I want is a name that is pretty, but also will work for her when she is an adult and wants to be taken seriously in a career. For example, NOT Misty.
my current favorites are addisyn and ainsleigh. before that was hooked on isabella. also i like chloe. have a friend debating brynne and ava for her baby.
Well, I'm partial to my choices of Avery and Ainsley, but there are lots more that I like, just weren't the right names for us. I love Delaney... it's one of my favs :)
What does the last name start with, and how many syllables? So much can depend on how it "sounds" with a last name.
p.s. And I think the middle name should be Elizabeth. :)
Sophie! Great name, worked really nice on my SIL, when she was little, and works great now too. Her actual name is Sophia, and we all call her Sophie:)
My daughters names are Victoria and Daniella, and mine is Natalia if you want to borrow them by any chance:)
Love the name Natalia...was actually going to suggest it.
The name starts with an F and is two syllables. (nice last name, goes well with most first names)
oh, and I also like Natasha
Emily, Isabelle, Haley??
I don't know. I had a hard enough time coming up with Avery's name. LOL.
Best of luck.
I like pretty names too, my girls are Abby and Kate, so I obviously like them. What about Tiah/Tia?
-Sharon
Love the name Raina or could be spelt Rayna. The other name is under wraps because our next one could be a girl...ok I am not going to be greedy... it's Rania. (Raw-knee-ya).
Lol, I'll be mean and ask, its not Focker, right:)
Sorry, Just couldnt resist:)
So so sorry:)
I love Jayna, Tessa and Ella.
As Erin suggested, I like Haylee (spelled differently than she suggested) too.
I like Rae, Elizabeth & Catherine as second names. In fact, I like "Haylee Rae Catherine".
Chloe Rose is very pretty too.
My third suggestion would be Ally Elizabeth.
Whoops -- guess I have a 4th suggestion too - lol
Talia (Rose or Alizabeth) - not a typo - variation of Elizabeth.
What is her son's name?
her son's name is Benjamin (Ben)
Thanks for the suggestions. I like all the names. I just wish one would jump out at me as the obvious choice. I have 20 more weeks to figure it out.
I wanted to name our girl (if we would have had one) Bree. But that's just because her middle name would have been Jo. Bree Jo (or Burrito :))
I like Emily too.
I like some that have already been suggested...Sophia, Sophie, Ella.
I'm not a fan of "unique" spellings for names...I just think it'll be a pain for the kid to have to spell her name for everyone her whole life.
some of my favorites Olivia, Colleen, Celia, Madison, Gabriella
I love the names Lauren, Olivia, Avery.
Our girls name (both times) was going to be Leah Elizabeth. It's the only name that we totally agreed on from the start. We didn't agree on Ryan until on the way to the hospital.
Danielle, Alysa (ok don't know how to spell it), Aviva, Samantha, Sharona
Other kids in our circle of friends are:
Portia, Tess, Miriam, Kaylee, Rachel, Nicole, Elizabeth, Shoshana, Natalie, Rebecca, Alice, Emma, Talia, Eliana,
(can you tell I am hanging with a Jewish crowd these days...)
My girls are named Carson and Cayden. I like names that not everyone has, but that are spellable. (Of course after I named them, thier names became more popular.)
I like Sophia, Isabell called Bella, and Olivia. At our preschool we have a Tamara, Grace, Katie among those I posted above. Good luck!
My daughter's name is Remaliah. After 13 years I still like it. Lots of abbreviations: Remi, Remsy, Mali, Maliah, Mars Bar (!), Liah. Hebrew name - though it's meant to be for a boy. (Remaliah was the insignificant father of King Pekah.)
I'm glad our 2nd child was a boy. We were unable to come up with another girls name we both agreed on!
Ali
Ruth
The reason I asked her son's name is cuz I think it's nice that sibling names have same "tenor".
Reminds me of a story my hubby often tells: His best friend in school was named (brace yourself) - Cai (pronounced kay -eye) LLewellen Lamoine Smith.
His brother's names were Jack & Bill. What a hoot!
My oldest is named Laurel - when my son was born, some poeple SERIOUSLY suggested we name him Hardy!
We didn't!
Any-who, now that I know her son's name is Ben, I like Sophie or Talia.
Hubby always says that a person grows into their name -- not sure Cai would agree tho -- LOL
I wanted to name my daughter Presley or Kennedy- but I got such backlash from it from our relatives I chickened out. I also love the name EMMA
Of course my favorites are Olivia and Claire which I named my daughters. Also on our lists were Sophia, Lindsay, Grace, Abbigail, (love Katie, but couldn't use it because my mom ruined it for me), Isabelle, Natalie, Emily, Emma, Pauline or Paulina...can you tell...I like classic names?! You could name her Emily Elizabeth as in the Clifford book series :p
I love the name Gabrielle, has that angelic sound to it of course it all rests on the surname because you don't want a name like Rose when your last name is Bush (actually I have met such a person).
Also you don't want to call your daughter Kerry if your last name is Hunt. Without a word of a lie I went to school with a girl called Kerry Hunt. I'm not sure her parents liked her.
If I had had another girl I wouldve called her, Amaya Rose....
I almost used Maya as our girl name...N
I love the names Ava, Oliva, Lauren, Jenna, Isabell, Nadia, and Genevieve is really pretty. If we ever have a girl, I would love to name her Oliva, but I bet we'll have a boy round two.
I was the last post. I can't wait to hear what you do choose...good luck. We had several to choose from and made our choice when we met the little guy.
Just did this search on Remaliah on America - there are 0 people in America named Remaliah. So if you like blending in, this is NOT the name for you!
Ali
If Nick and I had been blessed with a daughter, she would have been named Miriam.
Last night I had a dream that you named the baby Lila...I also like Rachel...N
